We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional, goal-directed nursing care across our premier surgical network. Position Overview & Responsibilities
Comprehensive Care: Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care utilizing the nursing process and professional standards across assigned phases of perioperative care.
Team Leadership: Perform all staff nurse activities and serve effectively as a Charge Nurse when assigned.
Accountability: Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients across all age groups, supervising and delegating appropriate tasks to Surgical Technologists, Patient Care Associates, and Anesthesia Technologists.
Collaboration: Partner under the direction of the Nurse Manager in accordance with departmental and hospital policies.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Required Education & Licensure
Education: Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing. Note: Hires must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school within three (3) years of hire or transfer.
Licensure: Active license to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
Required Experience
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of related operating room (OR) experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) upon hire.
Specialty Certification in perioperative nursing.
2+ years of relevant perioperative nursing experience.
