Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for providing pre- and post-procedural care for interventional radiology patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center. This includes patient preparation, recovery, and overnight observation. The RN will work within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing strong communication and critical thinking skills to care for both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan.

Responsibilities:
Provide pre-procedural preparation for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
Deliver post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure.
Required Skills & Certifications:
Active New York RN license.
Minimum of 2 years of Registered IR Nursing experience.
BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
Telemetry Experience Required
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
Experience with GI post-procedural care.
Medical/Surgical experience.
Special Considerations:
Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts.
Floating between units as needed.
Required to work holidays and weekends.
On-call/callback responsibilities per unit needs.
Must be able to obtain TB skin test.
Scheduling:
Rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night).
Shifts are determined and assigned based on unit needs.
