About This Role
As an RN in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and their families. This role is ideal for those seeking hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
What You'll Do
Complete Emergency Department Assessment Data Base upon patient arrival.
Complete ongoing assessments and recognize significant changes in patient condition.
Initiate an individualized plan of care based on patient needs.
Include plan for appropriate teaching for patient/family.
Review individualized plan of care and goals with patient/family.
Review and document care and discharge goals with physician and patient/family.
Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients.
Accurately administer and document IVs and medications.
Appropriately intervene when changes in patient condition occur.
Serve as patient/family advocate to facilitate patient care and communication.
Requirements
Education
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
Experience
ED/critical care experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Current RN License in Ohio
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within one year
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required upon hire or within one year
