Registered Nurse Electrophysiology Lab
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: - Arrhythmia induction - Baseline measurements - Cardiac ablation - Procedural circulation - Conduction studies - Diagnostic cardiac catheterization - Electrophysiology lab experience - IABP placement/removal - Impella insertion - Pacemaker insertion Description: The Electrophysiology RN role involves working with patients undergoing procedures such as coronary device implantations and ablations. Candidates must be comfortable with various procedures including pacemakers, ICDs, and lead extractions. Experience in performing both diagnostic EP and ablation procedures is essential. The candidate will utilize advanced mapping technology such as Biosense Webster CARTO and Abbott Precision mapping during procedures. The role may include late stay responsibilities to complete ongoing procedures without being on-call. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:6 during the day shifts. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with no weekend shifts. The candidate will work in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support. Successful candidates will demonstrate both technical proficiency and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in an electrophysiology setting.
