Responsibilities
Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Demonstrates the Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations which will provide guidelines for competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications
License: Must have current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. Current BLS Certification required. ACLS, PALS, NRP within six months of employment and TNCC certified within one year of employment.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN is preferred.
Experience: Three years of ER Registered Nurse experience required.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Provides care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
