Job description
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at UAB Medical West Freestanding ER, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible treatment and support. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote health and wellness, while also addressing any medical concerns that arise in the workplace. Additionally, you will be responsible for educating patients and their families about health management and preventive care. Minimum Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
ACLS
PALS
1 YEAR ER OR CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
