Role Overview
The RN House Supervisor provides hospital-wide leadership by overseeing clinical, operational, financial, human, and material resources.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate hospital operations in the absence of senior leadership, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
Supervise department supervisors, assistant nurse managers, and charge nurses; serve as a mentor and role model.
Promote effective communication and teamwork among staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Implement performance improvement strategies, utilizing Lean Six Sigma and evidence-based practices.
Ensure safety and regulatory standards are upheld, proactively mitigating risks.
Manage emergency responses, surge planning, patient throughput, and resource utilization.
Maintain positive hospital image and foster a culture of service excellence.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
Valid RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and preferred ACLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 2 years in nursing leadership or supervision.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and operational management skills.
