Patients in the IMC/PCU may include those stepping down from the ICU, patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, or medical conditions requiring close observation, and those at risk for clinical deterioration. Nurses in this unit develop strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and early-intervention expertise while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking IMC/PCU RNs to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to moderately complex patients requiring enhanced monitoring and clinical expertise. Advocacy: Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
