Job description
Registered Nurse - Infusion
The Registered Nurse in the Infusion Unit is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients receiving outpatient infusion therapy. This role requires expertise in administering various treatments, including chemotherapy, and managing patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer intravenous therapies and medications per physician's orders.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions as necessary.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
Utilize technology and equipment such as EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, glucometers, Alaris pumps, and elastomeric pumps in patient care.
Participate in blood product administration and other essential nursing duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy Certification.
Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient infusion nursing.
Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
