nThe Interventional Lab RN delivers specialized care and treatment to patients undergoing interventional/vascular procedures. The staff is on-call for off shifts/weekends as scheduled. Staff must be able to respond to the hospital's call and be at the hospital in 20 minutes.

nResponsibilities
nnnAble to take call based on "on-call" policy.
n
nnStrong EKG rhythm interpretation skills.
n
nnAbility to provide leadership in Emergency or Code Blue roles.
n
nnMaintain ability to perform in an assertive yet supportive manner when functioning with physicians in the procedural setting.
n
nnMaintain knowledge of patient equipment and therapeutic modalities utilized in the Cath Lab.
n
nnMaintain knowledge of medications and conscious sedation used in the Cath Lab.
n
nnComplies with department policies regarding appropriate sterile technique and radiation safety.
n
nnParticipate in education, community activities and performance improvement projects.
n
nnOversees maintenance and provides troubleshooting of equipment.
n
n nQualifications
nnnRN License in Iowa or compact state
n
nnExperience in critical care, telemetry and/or cardiovascular required.
n
nnBLS and CORE certification
n
n
