Job description
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)
We have an exciting opportunity for an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment. This role involves providing specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, and drain placements.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Provide post-procedure recovery care, including work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and extended stay (23-hour) settings.
Participate as an essential member of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Telemetry experience.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology.
Valid New York State RN License.
Candidates will be required to wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops, as well as adhere to other infection prevention measures when necessary in procedural areas.
