Job Description
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in the Imaging Department while working with advanced medical technologies and equipment.

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
Weekend Hours: As needed
Call Requirements: Yes, on rotation
Required Certifications ACLS
PALS
BLS
Certification with ARNA preferred
Qualifications Years of Experience: 1+ years in a related field
Must possess strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to float to other areas as needed
Unit Information Number of Beds: 269, including 1 IR angiosuite and 5 IR holding area beds
Patient Ratios: 1:1 in Imaging
Equipment: Nihonkohden patient monitors
EMR: CERNER, transitioning to EPIC in October 2024
Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care while monitoring patients' conditions in the Imaging Department
Observe and record vital signs, maintaining accurate patient records
Maintain intravenous lines for patients receiving IV fluids
Administer first aid and assist with patient comfort as needed
Administer medications under physician direction and assist in various imaging procedures
Ensure proper emergency procedures are in place and maintain emergency equipment
Coordinate communication between the Imaging Department and patient care division
Execute all duties with a focus on excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion
Preferred Qualifications Experience with invasive and non-invasive procedures in IR suite/Ultrasound/CT/MRI/Diagnostic
Should exhibit a calm demeanor and the ability to work well under pressure
Dress Code Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided in the procedure area
Unacceptable Attire: Street clothes
