Opportunity:
RN - Registered Nurse
Job Details:
Night shift position
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on collected patient data
Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis in collaboration with patient, family, and interdisciplinary team
Provide timely patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
Maintain accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit
Utilize nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with priority on patient and family education
Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching in anticipation of discharge date
Communicate all pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physician and Charge Nurse
Provide direction, training, and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience highly desired
BLS Certification required prior to first shift
ACLS required prior to first shift
