Hours per Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year Long-Term Care experience and previous supervisory experience
License: Current RN Licensure
Certifications: BLS Certification required (through AHA or RQI only)
Must-Have:
NYS RN Licensure
Minimum of one (1) year Long-Term Care experience
Previous supervisory experience
Description:Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, oversees the operation of the nursing units.Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the various nursing units.Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the Nursing Department's activities.Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts.Communicates with the Director of Nursing regarding identified and potential unit problems.Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to resolve problems as needed.Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator during off-shift/weekends.Leaves appropriate communication for any non-critical issues requiring follow-up.
