Registered Nurse Clinical Education Manager
Job Description
The Registered Nurse Clinical Education Manager will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive clinical education program that meets regulatory requirements and ensures the competencies of clinical staff. This role will involve designing, teaching, and evaluating training programs, while also acting as a consultant for organizational development and career resources.
Key Responsibilities
Research and maintain current regulations and standards relevant to clinical practice.
Coordinate regulatory requirements and certifications, including BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC.
Promote the organization's mission, goals, and values through educational activities.
Lead a team to develop and coordinate educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on clinical competencies.
Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of educational activities to enhance professional development.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure high standards of patient care are upheld.
Supervise the trauma registrar program, ensuring compliance with state requirements and designation maintenance.
Facilitate communication regarding continuing education opportunities within the community.
Participate in evidence-based research to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.
Conduct audits and develop action plans based on educational program evaluations.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC instructor certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical instructor experience.
At least 5 years of professional nursing experience, with 2 years as a staff RN in a specialty area such as ER, ICU, OB, or OR.
Two years of supervisory experience required.
Knowledge and Skills Professional nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
Expertise in the nursing management of adult and geriatric patient care.
Ability to develop and implement educational programs tailored for diverse learning needs.
Proficient in conducting comprehensive evaluations of educational activities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, individuals are regularly required to talk or hear. Frequent requirements include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, and reaching. Occasional tasks may involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
