Position Overview
The Nursing Supervisor ensures residents' health and well-being, supervises nursing staff during the shift, and performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Shift Options
Evenings: 2 pm - 10 pm
Nights: 10 pm - 6 am
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to residents' requests.
Supervise nursing care and staff on all units.
Promote facility safety and serve as Infection Preventionist Nurse.
Cover nursing services in the absence of senior management.
Skills & Competencies
Effective problem-solving skills.
Caring, compassionate, empathetic attitude.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Team-focused and supervisory abilities.
Qualifications
State license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Minimum two years of nursing experience and one year in leadership.
Interest or experience in geriatrics.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Experience with dementia population is desirable.
