Position Title: Registered Nurse - Maternal & Child Services (Obstetrics) Department
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role & Department: Registered Nurse on the Obstetrics Unit
Hours & Shift: Per Diem position, will work fill-in hours as needed for the unit, 12 hour scheduled shifts with shift times of 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Role Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for assessing the spiritual, emotional and physiological needs of the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery patients; and planning the nursing care to meet these needs
The OB Registered Nurse is responsible to see that the plan of care is carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel
Continued interest in professional growth through continuing education, in-services, participation in professional organizations, and involvement in health promotional activities
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Must be licensed and hold a current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or in the process of becoming licensed
Prior acute care nursing experience and prior experience in labor & delivery, post partum care is highly preferred
Current BLS certification
NRP/BLS & ACLS certifications required or willingness to obtain
The ideal candidate will be willing to cross train to other nursing departments to assist as needed
Outstanding verbal and written communications
Prior EPIC knowledge is beneficial
