Job description
Shift: Night 4x12 hours (18:30 - 07:00). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts required.
Job Description
The Intermediate Care Nurse will provide patient care in a medical IMC unit, managing a variety of patients with medical and neuro diagnoses. The unit operates on a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, and nurses will float to all PCU units as needed.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care to patients with conditions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, pneumonia, sepsis, and respiratory diseases.
Monitor and manage neuro and stroke patients effectively.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalist services, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an intermediate care or similar nursing role.
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS certification is preferred.
Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
A valid New Mexico or Compact RN license is required at the time of submission.
Travel experience is preferred, along with prior charge experience if applicable.
