Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 3x12.0 hours per week.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientation staff. Key duties encompass patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring safety for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Participate in rehabilitation programs, providing direct patient care and education.
Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission.
Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
Supervise and mentor ancillary nursing personnel.
Maintain an environment focused on safety and quality patient outcomes.
Participate in team building activities to enhance unit functioning.
Assume charge responsibilities as needed.
Engage in professional development through continued education.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current RN license.
BLS certification required prior to first shift.
ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH only).
Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
