Position Overview
* Department : 3 Main, Med Surg
* Schedule : PRN
* Work Location : UAB St Vincent's Birmingham

Job Description
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization.
* Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
* Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
* Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
* Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
team.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
* Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required
Minimum Requirements:
* Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required. One year of RN experience is required
