Background managing cardiac patients post procedure
Description:This is a cardiac specialty unit with 26 beds.Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients.The unit staffing includes a charge nurse, bedside nurse, patient care technician, and unit secretary.Equipment used includes pacemakers.The documentation system in use is Meditech.Self-scheduling is required for staff.On weekends, staff must work three weekend shifts in a four-week period on day shift, and four weekend shifts in a four-week period on night shift.There are no on-call requirements for this position.Float to telemetry, medical/surgical, or observation is part of the policy.This unit does not require specific certifications.The dress code includes scrubs with a royal blue top and black pants.Candidates should follow unit-specific guidelines and hospital-wide policies.This is a brand-new cardiac progressive stepdown unit.
