Job Summary
Pomeroy Living Sterling Skilled is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead and oversee nursing operations within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and proven leadership skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while managing the nursing staff effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities on the unit to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
* Provide direct patient care as needed and ensure nursing care plans are implemented effectively.
* Monitor and evaluate patient care to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and ongoing staff development.
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and nursing activities.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory surveys.
* Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
Qualifications
* Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
* Proven experience as an RN Unit Manager or in a similar leadership role within a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
* Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide hands-on nursing care.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in skilled nursing care.
