Hourly Pay Range:
$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights:
Sign on bonus: None
Position: RN - Vascular Access
Location: Chicago, IL
Full Time (36 hrs/week)
Hours: Mon thru Sun 0800--1630
Required Travel: Will float to inpatient units for vascular access
What you will do:
Observing dressing integrity
Changing dressings as needed
Performing scheduled weekly dressing changes
Collaborating with the dialysis team to ensure dressings are changed when necessary
Determining whether central lines can be replaced with midlines or peripheral lines
Identifying patients who no longer meet the criteria for maintaining a central line
Inserting peripheral lines, or Ultrasound guided IV?s when time permits
Future state: Vascular Access RNs will insert PICC/MIDD lines as well
What you will need:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Certification: Current Illinois Nursing licensure. American Heart Association CPR Certification. Completion of Ultrasound Guided IV training.
Experience: 2 years of hospital inpatient care
