PC Lead Operator Utility (All Machines)Reports To: Department SupervisorFLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt3rd ShiftHours: Sunday-Thursday 10:30PM to 7:00AMOvertime is required based on production needs.Pay: $20/hourOperates or direct others to operate a machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, and/or labeling by performing the following duties:Make and teach machine adjustments for increased production and quality.Assess the root cause of machine downtime and adjust or fix the issue.Ability to operate and train on all machines in company production rooms proficiently.Able and willing to help the entire production team achieve more. Making sure operators have all they need to maintain a continuous run on the machine(s); such as film rolls, printer ribbon, tape for film change, etc.Demonstrate good time management, keeping in mind the productivity of all machines.Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products.Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.Starts machine and observes operation to ensure machine is operating properly.Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.Inspects filled packs to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.Mounts supplies such as film on spindles.Assist production supervisor with overseeing the department.To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Problem SolvingOral CommunicationWritten CommunicationTeamworkLeadershipQuality ManagementOrganizational SupportQuantitySafety and SecurityAdaptabilityAttendance/PunctualityDependabilityInitiativeQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
