Road And Bridge Equipment Operator/Blade OperatorWe are seeking a skilled Road and Bridge Equipment Operator/Blade Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate and maintain heavy equipment, including blades, to clear and maintain roads and bridges.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licensePrevious experience operating heavy equipment, specifically blades, is requiredAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsExcellent hand-eye coordination and physical strengthResponsibilities:Operate and maintain road and bridge construction equipment, with a focus on bladesClear debris and snow from roads and bridges to ensure safe travelPerform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality and longevityFollow safety procedures and guidelines at all timesCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activitiesPreferred Skills:Certification in heavy equipment operationKnowledge of basic mechanical principlesStrong problem-solving skillsIf you have a passion for operating heavy equipment and ensuring the safety of roadways, we encourage you to apply for this position.Seward County is an equal opportunity employer.
