Join Our Road Maintenance Team for the 2026 Winter Season!We are looking for individuals to assist with road maintenance utilizing a variety of medium and heavy road maintenance equipment. This critical role will assist with minor road repairs, brush clearing, traffic control and other duties as assigned.This is an entry-level classification, and individuals are assigned to a variety of work, including heavy physical tasks and the operation of a variety of road maintenance equipment on training or relief assignments.Proof of valid Class C operator's license issued by a state department of motor vehicle is required at time of application. Please attach proof of your valid license to your application to be considered.Ideal candidates will have:Knowledge of safe work practicesGeography and road names of a Nevada County road maintenance districtMethods, procedures, tools and materials used in the repair and maintenance of roadsLearning to maintain and make minor repairs on roadsPerforming physical labor requiring strength, manual dexterity, and agilityUnderstanding and carrying out oral and written instructionsEstablishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with those contacted during workWhy Nevada County?
