Job description

Robotic Weld Operator IICadrex is searching for a Robotic Weld Operator II who is responsible for operating, monitoring, and performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance on robotic welding equipment. This position requires a solid understanding of welding processes, quality standards, and robotic equipment operation in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience with robotic weld cells and demonstrates the ability to work independently while meeting production and quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and oversee robotic welding cells, ensuring parts are loaded, cycled, and unloaded properlyPerform inspections of welds using visual methods and measurement tools to verify quality against specificationsAdjust welding parameters and perform basic programming adjustments as needed to maintain weld qualityIdentify, troubleshoot, and report equipment malfunctions and quality issuesPerform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, changing consumables, and verifying fixture alignmentRead and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructionsDocument production and inspection data accuratelyCollaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvementAdhere to safety protocols and participate in 5S and lean manufacturing initiativesProvide guidance and training to Robotic Weld Operator I personnel as neededPreferred Qualifications2+ years of experience operating robotic welding equipment in a manufacturing environment preferredKnowledge of welding processes (MIG, resistance, etc.) and robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, OTC)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specificationsStrong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitudeEffective communication and teamwork skillsEducationHigh School DiplomaLocationOnsiteScheduleM-FTotal Compensation IncludesHealth/dental/vision coverageEmployer-paid and supplemental life insuranceShort- and long-term disability insuranceGenerous paid time off and holiday payMonthly remote work stipend (for remote employees who qualify)401(k) investment plan, with an employer match of up to 4%Education support programSafety eyeglasses/shoe reimbursementReferral bonusesBonus plan for all full-time employeesPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
