Job description
Robotics Machine OperatorThe Robotics Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic equipment to produce high-quality products. This role ensures production efficiency, product quality, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate robotic welding systems and related equipmentLoad and unload parts into robotic welding fixturesMonitor welding processes to ensure consistent quality and performancePerform basic programming adjustments and teach points as neededInspect completed welds using measuring tools, gauges, and visual checksTroubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or programming issuesPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic welding equipmentMaintain production and quality records accuratelyFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPECollaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on process improvementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in robotic welding or manufacturing preferredBasic understanding of welding processes (MIG, TIG, or spot welding)Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructionsFamiliarity with robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Motoman) is a plusStrong attention to detail and quality controlSkills & CompetenciesMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBasic computer and programming skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong problem-solving abilitiesGood communication and organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsLift up to 50 lbs as neededWork in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes (with proper PPE)Work EnvironmentManufacturing/production facility1st shift 6:00-2:30Requires adherence to strict safety standardsPreferred QualificationsTechnical certification in welding or roboticsExperience with robotic programming or PLC basicsPrevious experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing industriesPremier Marine offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support employees' health, well-being, and growth.
