Robert Half is currently seeking Release of Information (ROI) Specialists to support a healthcare organization in Kentucky.
Locations: Leitchfield, KY 42754 OR Owensboro, KY 42303
Pay: $22.00/hour
Employment Type: Contract

About the Opportunity
The Release of Information (ROI) Specialist will support the medical records release process for Owensboro Health, responding to requests from attorneys, patients, next of kin, insurance payers, and other authorized parties .
This team is currently managing a high volume of approximately 3,500 requests , so we are looking for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a production-driven environment, and able to handle sensitive healthcare information professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Process Release of Information (ROI) requests accurately and efficiently
Respond to medical-record requests from patients, attorneys, next of kin, insurance payers, and other authorized requestors
Maintain applicable regulatory and organizational standards throughout the release-of-information process
Review requests and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
Protect sensitive and confidential patient information
Maintain accurate documentation related to ROI requests
Complete requests within established turnaround times
Process timely invoicing associated with requests
Manage a consistent daily workload within a high-volume environment
Meet an established productivity expectation of approximately 28 completed requests per day
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while balancing multiple requests and deadlines
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
Able to work efficiently within established processes and regulatory requirements
Comfortable working toward daily productivity expectations
Strong in written and verbal communication
Able to prioritize a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy
Professional when interacting with patients, attorneys, insurance representatives, and other requestors
Experience with Release of Information, medical records, Health Information Management (HIM), healthcare administration, patient records, insurance, or other healthcare documentation functions would be highly relevant.
Assignment Details
These are contract positions designed to provide coverage for team members who are currently on leaves of absence. There may be an opportunity for conversion depending on future business needs, but conversion is not guaranteed .
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Location Options: Leitchfield, KY 42754 or Owensboro, KY 42303
