Roller / ChopperLocation: Pocahontas, IACompensation: $21.50 per hour – paid weeklySchedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PMJob Type: Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Roller / Chopper workers for a composite manufacturing company in Pocahontas, Iowa. In this role, you'll help build high-quality fiberglass service bodies and truck equipment used by utility and telecom fleets across North America. If you enjoy hands-on manufacturing work, working with tools and equipment, and being part of a production team, this opportunity could be a great fit. Read below for more information!What You'll Do as a Roller / Chopper:Operate pneumatic chopper spray gun equipment to apply fiberglass resin and chopped fiberglass into moldsPrepare molds by cleaning, waxing, and inspecting surfaces before productionUse hand rollers to remove air pockets and ensure proper fiberglass consolidationInspect fiberglass materials for defects, coverage issues, and thickness requirementsMaintain spray guns, hoses, nozzles, and related equipment to support production efficiencyFollow safety procedures for handling resins, solvents, and other materialsKeep work areas clean and organized while supporting production goalsWhat You Need to Bring to the Roller / Chopper Role:Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout a 10-hour shiftAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyPrevious fiberglass manufacturing, laminating, spray lay-up, or composite experience preferredAbility to wear required PPE, including a fitted respirator, protective suit, gloves, and eye protectionAbility to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety proceduresReliable attendance and strong attention to detailAbility to pass a respirator fit test and meet physical job requirementsWhy You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
