Roofing Field SupervisorPreferred Roofing is hiring an experienced Roofing Field Supervisor to join our production team and help oversee residential and commercial roofing projects throughout Southern California.This is a boots-on-the-ground field management role for someone who knows roofing, understands what quality workmanship looks like, and isn't afraid to hold crews accountable to a high standard.You'll work directly under the Lead Superintendent, overseeing individual jobs from pre-walk through completion. You'll spend your days visiting active jobsites, communicating with crews and foremen, inspecting workmanship, identifying issues, and making sure projects continue moving in the right direction.We're looking for someone who is proactive rather than reactive—someone who sees an issue and handles it before it becomes a bigger production or customer problem.Why Join Preferred Roofing?Competitive compensation of approximately $80,000–$90,000 per year with bonus potentialJoin an established Southern California roofing company with 30+ years of experienceWork with a company that has completed 8,000+ roof replacements and repairsTake on a key field leadership role with real ownership and responsibilityWork alongside experienced roofing and production professionalsOpportunity to directly impact project quality, efficiency, and the customer experienceBe part of a growing company with opportunities to develop your career as the organization expandsJoin a team that values quality workmanship, accountability, communication, and customer serviceSpend your time in the field solving problems and moving projects forward—not sitting behind a deskWhat You'll DoAs a Roofing Field Supervisor, you'll manage individual roofing projects in the field and ensure Preferred Roofing's standards are being followed consistently.You'll serve as an important connection between the Lead Superintendent, roofing crews and foremen, customers, and the production office.Your responsibilities will include:Conduct pre-job walks to identify project requirements and potential issues before work beginsVisit active roofing jobs throughout the day to monitor progress and workmanshipConduct post-job walks and verify work is complete before projects are closed outCommunicate expectations and project requirements with roofing crews and foremenInspect roofing installations and verify work meets project specifications and company quality standardsIdentify incorrect installations, workmanship concerns, material issues, and other jobsite problemsAddress field issues proactively before they create production delays or customer concernsHold crews accountable for quality, cleanliness, safety, and project expectationsMonitor project progress and help keep jobs moving toward completionCoordinate closely with the Lead Superintendent and production officeCommunicate job status, delays, material needs, change orders, and unexpected conditionsDocument job progress with photos, notes, and project updatesComplete final walkthroughs and punch listsEnsure jobsites remain clean, organized, safe, and professionalCommunicate professionally with homeowners and address jobsite questions or concernsHelp ensure a consistent customer experience from the start of the project through completionWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who takes ownership in the field.You shouldn't need someone to tell you every time something needs attention. You notice when a project is starting to get off track, understand what needs to happen next, and communicate with the right people to get it resolved.You know enough about roofing to recognize when something isn't being installed correctly. You're comfortable holding a crew accountable while still maintaining productive working relationships.You're also comfortable working as part of a larger production team.
