Roofing AssistantAuxiliary Compensation Plan Salary Range: $16.29 - $19.87/hour Shift Type: Full-Time Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Roofing Supervisor EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist roofers and the supervisor in various tasks related to roofing installation, repair and maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Texas Driver's License with less that three (3) moving traffic violations within the past three (3) years SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Able to follow instructions and use basic construction tools. EXPERIENCE: None needed. Entry level position. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Assist with loading, unloading and organizing roofing materials and tools. Maintaining tools and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands: Comprehending and following instructions. Physical demands/environmental factors: Lifting and carrying items in excess of 50 pounds. Stooping, bending, kneeling and standing. Exposure to weather extremes of hot and cold. Exposure to material fumes and particles. Moderate to loud noise levels in work environment. Carrying and climbing ladders.
