As we continue to expand, we're seeking passionate individuals to join our team and contribute to our shared mission of driving environmental stewardship through innovative solar solutions.Position SummaryThe Roofing Service Technician is a skilled field professional responsible for investigating, diagnosing, repairing, and resolving residential roofing concerns. This position requires more than the ability to perform a repair. The ideal technician understands roofing systems as a whole and can identify the root cause of leaks, failures, and deficiencies, determine the appropriate corrective action, and complete or recommend a lasting solution.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive inspections of residential roofing systems to identify leaks, damage, installation deficiencies, and potential failure pointsDiagnose the source and root cause of water intrusion and other roofing concernsPerform roofing repairs, maintenance, and corrective work according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practicesInspect shingles, flashing, penetrations, decking, underlayment, ventilation, gutters, siding, and related exterior componentsEvaluate roof penetrations and roofing components associated with residential solar installationsDetermine whether conditions can be appropriately repaired or require a larger scope of corrective workIdentify workmanship, material, structural, ventilation, or exterior conditions that may be contributing to a concernDevelop clear repair recommendations and identify materials, labor, and additional resources required to complete the workComplete quality-control inspections when needed to verify workmanship and identify corrective actionsRequirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required5+ years of hands-on residential roofing experience strongly preferredHas strong hands-on knowledge of residential roofing systems, installation, repair, and troubleshootingApproaches service calls with a diagnostic and solution-oriented mindsetCan distinguish between symptoms and the actual root cause of a roofing concernIs comfortable making sound technical decisions independently in the fieldTakes ownership of assigned work and follows concerns through to resolutionDemonstrates strong workmanship and attention to detailCommunicates technical findings clearly to customers and internal teamsCollaborates effectively while remaining self-motivated and productive in the fieldRecognizes when a repair is sufficient and when a larger corrective solution should be recommendedTakes pride in providing a safe, professional, and high-quality customer experienceBenefits401k retirement plan with Roth optionDental insurance-free for "Employee Only" planMedical insurance-free for "Employee Only" planVision Insurance-free for "Employee Only" planPaid time offDisability insuranceLife insurance
