nAs an Air Ambulance Pilot, you are the critical link in delivering rapid, life-saving transportation for patients in need. Your expertise ensures the safety of the medical team and patients during every flight. In this role, you’ll combine technical aviation skills with a commitment to excellence, contributing directly to your community by supporting vital emergency medical services
nEssential Functions
nnnOperates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.

nnPlans and executes flights, accounting for weather conditions, weight and balance, and fuel requirements.
n
nnCollaborates effectively with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless mission execution.

nnResponds promptly to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.
n
nnMaintains accurate flight and maintenance logs as required by the company and FAA.

nnRepresents the company professionally when interacting with patients, families, and the public.

nnnFAA Certifications:

nnCommercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate; appropriate category and class ratings

nnCurrent FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher)

nnFlight Experience:
n
nn2,000 hours of total flight time in a helicopter or CAMTS Equivalency
n
nn100 hours of cross-country flight – 25 hours at night
n
nn75 actual or simulated instrument hours
n
nn100 hours of unaided night flight time
n
nnOther
n
nnPass a 135.293 check ride within the first 60 days of hire
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnnAir ambulance experience
n
nnNight Vision Goggle experience
n
nn300 flight hours at night
n
nnTurbine-engine time – 1000 hours

nnLive within one hour of assigned base

n nPhysical Requirements
nnnAbility to sit for extended periods in an aircraft cockpit
n
nnCapability to perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, which may involve climbing, kneeling, crouching, or stooping
n
nnMust meet FAA medical standards for physical and mental fitness, as verified by a current FAA Medical Certificate
n
nnMeet Intermountain Health standards for annual hearing tests
n
nnAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, as required for handling equipment or luggage
n
nnTolerance for varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise during aircraft operations
n
