nThis opportunity entails being responsible for working with public agencies and private individuals to identify, negotiate, and purchase private property for public use or private projects.
nYou will directly contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that strengthen and connect communities. As a member of our team, you will work closely with property owners, public agencies and project stakeholders to acquire property rights and advance high-impact transportation and development initiatives. An exciting role that requires negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills along with a unique blend of technical expertise, field engagement and stakeholder interaction making it ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex challenges and seeing the tangible impact of their work.
nWe are open to candidates interested in Part-Time opportunities. We are open to Senior level candidates as well.
nWhat You'll Do:
nnnPrepares offer and conveyance documents for property being acquired for transportation or utility projects.
n
nnReviews title work to determine ownership and encumbrances needing to be cleared, as well as appraisals to understand the basis of the offer and impact to the property.
n
nnMeets or communicates with property owners to negotiate the offer for the proposed right of way. Reports to lead right of way agent for project and/or right of way manager.
n
nnPerforms other duties as assigned.

n nWhat You'll Need:
nnHS/GED and 3 years experience with right of way (DOT, transit or utility) or other relevant experience.
n nWhat We Prefer:
nnnAssociate's or Bachelor's degree.
n
nnReal estate license, as required by state law.
n
nn2 years of Real Estate experience or Real Estate Paralegal experience.
n
nnValid NJ Driver's License and transportation for field visit.

nThe approximate pay range for New Jersey is $81,859.63 - $133,952.12. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position based on all selected locations within the state at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
