Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
Must-Have: RRT preferred, with experience in PICU and/or level 4 NICU
Description:
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist for pediatric and neonatal respiratory care.
The role involves providing respiratory treatments for 20-25 patients per day.
Preferred certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP for the NICU.
This position covers both the NICU and the PICU.
All aspects of respiratory care will be performed, including the use of aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton, and Servo ventilators.
Airway management and intrahospital transport are required.
The therapist will assist with intubation but is not required to perform it independently.
The respiratory department is managed by a supervisor.
Preference scheduling is allowed with a commitment to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
The therapist will not be the only one on shift, with a staffing preference of 8 therapists per shift.
No floating is required.
Scrub color is stone/light gray.
The charting system used is EPIC.
Department-specific orientation will be provided, with timeframe depending on previous experience.
