Job description
The Sacramento County Department of Airports is seeking an accomplished airport business and commercial development leader to serve as Deputy Director, Airport Commercial Development . This executive will help guide commercial growth across Sacramento International Airport, Mather Airport, Executive Airport, and Franklin Field during a period of significant investment and expansion, including the $1.4 billion SMForward capital program.
Reporting to the Assistant Airport Director, the Deputy Director will oversee air service and air cargo development, commercial real estate, concessions, leases, revenue generation, customer experience, public parking, communications, and the future consolidated rental car facility. Key priorities include expanding international air service, increasing non-aeronautical revenue, strengthening airline and industry relationships, and advancing innovative passenger and branding strategies.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and highly self-directed leader with strong airport commercial development experience. Experience working in both the airport and airline sectors is particularly desirable.
Salary:
$197,065 - $217,256 annually
