Job description
Safeguarding Officer - Further Education
Morgan Hunt is working with a further education college in East London to recruit an experienced Safeguarding Officer.
Location: East London
Contract: Temporary, until 23 October
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £22 per hour via umbrella
Start date: As soon as possible, subject to vetting
Key responsibilities:
Respond to safeguarding concerns and support learners who may be at risk.
Record concerns accurately and confidentially, following college safeguarding procedures.
Work with the designated safeguarding team, college staff and external agencies to ensure learners receive appropriate support.
Help promote a safe, inclusive learning environment across the college.
Requirements:
Experience in a safeguarding role, ideally within further education or a similar setting.
A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to handle sensitive information with care.
An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.
