In the position, you will provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. In addition, you will implement strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace. You will be required to collaborate effectively with customers while effectively demonstrating value of company product lines. Additionally, depending on your level of experience, you may provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization.Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MNYour Responsibilities:Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricingCommunicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Assess processes to meet those needsProcess requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricingKeep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplaceAnalyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirementsPrepare technical literature for internal and field applicationConduct product training to sales representatives and customersEvaluate and propose improvements of product training processesProvide leadership and direction within marketing applications organizationYour Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)2+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (level 3 requires 5+ years and level 4 requires 7+ years)HVAC experience (not required for Level 2)Your Benefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance401K retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and company paid holidaysPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local lawTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this positionThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 - $188,700 in Minnesota. (dependent upon level); (plus bonus at levels 3 and 4). The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which these positions fall.
