Role Description The Sales Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Cranford, NJ. This role supports the sales team with daily administrative and customer-facing tasks, including processing orders, preparing sales documents, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems. The Sales Assistant will communicate with retail and wholesale customers, respond to inquiries, and provide product and inventory information. Responsibilities also include coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to track shipments, updating inventory data, and assisting with basic sales reporting and follow-up activities. The role requires consistent collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle inquiries and sales-related correspondence.
Sales awareness and basic sales skills to support order processing, upselling opportunities, and account follow-up.
Solid organization skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and prioritize time-sensitive activities.
Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and comfort working with data and spreadsheets.
Attention to detail and reliability in handling orders, documentation, and inventory information.
Ability to work on-site full-time in Cranford, NJ and collaborate in a fast-paced warehouse and office environment.
Previous experience in sales support, retail, or customer service in textiles, home goods, or related industries is a plus.
