A Sales Development Representative is responsible for engaging inbound and outbound prospects, qualifying opportunities, and identifying potential business for Univar Solutions. This role serves as the first step in the sales process by qualifying the prospect and uncovering additional product opportunities. Qualified opportunities are documented and transitioned to the appropriate sales team for continued development.What you’ll do:Develop and qualify new leads by engaging incoming leads driven from marketing campaigns, supplier leads delivered to the team via phone, email and the internetCold-calling and email prospecting efforts within a base of former customers, or lists provided from new marketing efforts aligned with campaignsResearch and scrubs leads for identification of existing customers and route accordinglyIdentifies multiple prospect contacts (high, deep and wide) as well as multiple products with purchase potential with new prospectsUnderstands, promotes and supports adaptation of team tools and suggests tool gapsEmbraces technical tools for research and logging of interactions Salesforce/Tableau/SAPMaintains accurate Salesforce records while documenting customer needs, opportunities, and next steps to support efficient sales engagementWhat you’ll need:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience1-3 years of experience in phone-based lead generation, inside sales and/or business development activities or equivalent experienceAbility to prospect and qualify potential customers effectively virtually (email and phone)Exceptional communication skillsExperience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office is strongly desiredHigh level of curiosity with strong Internet Research SkillsExcellent time management skills required along with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle diverse and significant workloadWhere you’ll work: Dublin, Ohio.
