Job Description
Sales Director – Sweden
Location: Sweden, Gothenburg or Stockholm (Remote/Office-Based)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
The Sales Director is critical for the growth of our Global Freight Forwarding business within Sweden.
How you will contribute
Develop and implement regional freight forwarding sales strategy aligned with DP World’s global objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance.
Generate effective leads and opportunities based on your existing network and book of business.
Meet and exceed financial growth targets for both the team and yourself.
Build relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within customer organizations.
Maintain a deep understanding of customer expectations, operational solutions, and market challenges.
Understand customer buying processes and identify all influences and requirements.
Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities, quantifying value and win probability.
Coordinate RFQs and own commercial relationships and contract negotiations.
Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes and thresholds.
Foster collaboration across Account Management, Operations, Tender Management, and other functions.
Partner with colleagues in other regions on broader opportunities for global customers.
Act as an ambassador for DP World, promoting positive behaviors and safety standards.
Travel across Sweden and internationally as required (30–60%).
Qualifications
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience
Minimum 10 years in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding, with a focus on international freight.
Significant value‑selling experience.
Experience leading and managing a team of subject matter experts.
Existing book of business and freight sales experience is a strong asset.

Languages – Fluent in English; additional languages are a bonus.
