Does that sound like you?The opportunity with McKinstryWe are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team as a member of our SPG Mechanical division in Seattle, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to establish the McKinstry brand in a fast growing construction market. This position will focus on building long lasting relationships of trust while becoming the client's solutions provider. Additional responsibilities include:Responsible for lead generation, customer service, proposal development, and customer acquisition.Produces accurate estimates, assembles quality proposals and demonstrates good written communication skills utilizing McKinstry guidelines and proposal formats.Builds and owns market strategies. Includes SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, and vertical market and horizontal offering strategies.Analyzes the potential of specific projects while considering changing market conditions.Stays up to date in the marketplace.Partners with internal resources to ensure deliverables meet timelines and requirements.Assists the Senior Account Executive with larger projects.Coordinates with Business Unit Manager to ensure successful execution of projects.Provides support to the customer with regards to projects financing and contracting issues.Acts as the client's single point of accountability.Initiates and develops personal relationships with potential and existing clients.Utilizes McKinstry's tools and processes to support our customer relationship strategies.What we would like to see from you:Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Sales Engineer.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent business experience required.Five (5) years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor, engineering firm or vendor required.Two (2) years of experience leading and closing sales required.Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates required.Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems required.Knowledge of conceptual estimating preferred.PeopleFirst BenefitsWhen it comes to the basics, we have you covered:Competitive pay401(k) with employer match and profit-sharing planPaid time off and holidaysComprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision with low or zero deductible options and low out of pocket maximumsPeople come first at McKinstry, and we go beyond the basic benefits with:Family formation benefits, including adoption and IVF assistanceUp to 16 weeks paid parental leaveTransgender inclusive benefitsCommuter benefitsPet insurance"Building Good" paid community service timeLearning and advancement opportunities via McKinstry UniversityMcKinstry Moves onsite gyms or reimbursement for remote workersSee benefit plan documents for complete details.If you're driven by our vision to build a thriving planet together, McKinstry is the place to build your career.The pay range for this position is $68,310 - $114,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
