Job TitleCrucial strategic position to position Veolia during design phase to better position us for the projects in a pro-active manner with the understanding that it will have longer term payoff for Veolia when the projects are tendered, constructed and operated securing upwards of $350mm.Job DescriptionThis is an on-site position in Clay, NY.Key characteristics include deep technical knowledge of water treatment processes, technologies, and industry regulations; strong business acumen and understanding of financial impacts/ROI; strategic thinking and ability to align solutions with organizational goals; executive presence and polished communication skills for C-level interactions; experience in complex, long-term enterprise sales cycles; ability to build and maintain high-level relationships; strong negotiation skills for large-scale contracts; industry credibility and proven track record of major account wins; understanding of sustainability and environmental compliance issues; project management capabilities for coordinating multiple stakeholders; consultative selling approach focused on business outcomes rather than just technical specifications; and ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions that resonate with executives.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate closely with the Veolia Key Account Manager to oversee all Account activities.Continuously monitor and optimize contract performance down to at the plant level.Develop a comprehensive understanding of our Buyer’s plant(s) needs and how Veolia can provide tailored solutions to address them effectively.Lead the charge in driving the adoption of Veolia technologies with customer.Serve as primary on-site liaison between Veolia and Micron.Engage Micron proactively throughout the project, from bid through execution completion. Early bid involvement includes opportunities identified prior to RFP receipt.Support technical discovery sessions to identify and document customer requirements (ie. pre- RFP).Facilitate communication between customer stakeholders and internal engineering/technical teams.Build and maintain strong trusted relationships with customer and other project stakeholders.Anticipate customer needs and potential issues before they escalate.Track and report on customer engagement activities, requirements, and project status.Identify opportunities for expanded collaboration, expanded scope across business lines and additional business value.Ensure customer satisfaction through responsive support and issue resolution.Represent company culture and values while embedded in customer environment.Drive and/or support internal bid activities and processes, as needed.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:In-depth knowledge of water treatment products, services, technologies, and applications portfolio.Technical Competencies:Technical problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.Solid understanding of the water infrastructure needs of customers in the semiconductor manufacturing space.Knowledge of water and wastewater stream from semiconductor chip fabs, water treatment equipment manufacturing processes, and systems integration.Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements of chip manufacturers.Customer-Facing Soft Skills:Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.Active listening and questioning techniques to uncover underlying needs.Professional presence and credibility with technical and executive audiences.Adaptability to different communication styles and organizational cultures.Patience and diplomacy in challenging situations.Cultural awareness and sensitivity.Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences and vice versa.Organizational & Project Skills:Strong organizational and time management capabilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.Project coordination and tracking abilities.Proficiency with collaboration tools (CRM, project management software, communication platforms).Personal Attributes:Self-motivated and able to work independently on-site.Proactive and takes initiative.Resilient and comfortable with ambiguity.Customer-centric mindset.Team player who bridges organizational boundaries.Professional maturity and sound judgment.Continuous learner who stays current with industry trends.Build out and construction perspective is an asset to this role.Knowledge Experience in the markets, processes, and equipment related to MicroE market strategy with execution, possess strong influencing skills across business functions, and thrive in a matrix environment.A clear thinker, an excellent listener, externally focused, and a problem-solver.Collaboration is key, able to work across functions and organizational boundaries to quickly mobilize stakeholders.Education & Experience:Required:Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry from an accredited college or university.Minimum 10 years Technical Water Treatment experience, Minimum 5 years experience in MicroE, site presence or project management.Additional InformationAt Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
