Job description
The Sales Manager role is a vital link between our company, our Sales Representatives, and our customers. A successful Sales Manager leads in-territory Sales Representatives and accelerates long-term growth with retailer and distributor partners across the United States and Canada. The role combines sales leadership, strategic account development, data-informed decision-making, and meaningful customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
Partner with and lead Sales Representatives. Provide coaching, product expertise, strategic guidance, sales resources and timely approvals while collaborating to develop unique customer strategies and respond to day-to-day business needs.
Build strategic customer partnerships. Serve as the primary company contact and trusted advisor for retailer and distributor customers, developing a deep understanding of their businesses, strengths, and challenges.
Drive data-informed growth. Analyze customer sales results, market conditions, and channel trends to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps, establish goals, and create actionable sales programs with customers.
Lead purposeful customer engagement. Conduct effective virtual and in-person business reviews and strategy sessions that align priorities and move opportunities forward.
Bring strategy to life in the territory. Plan productive customer visits to introduce new products and ideas, strengthen relationships, align strategy, and develop solutions together.
Shape team and company success. Collaborate with fellow Sales Managers, share market insights, improve processes and strategies, and support the onboarding and development of emerging talent.
Serve as an internal advocate for customers. Navigate company resources, processes and inter-department teams to efficiently address customer needs.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of successful B2B sales or account-management experience in a client-facing role.
Strong analytical, presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to translate sales data and market insights into clear, actionable strategies.
Willingness to travel approximately 10% within the United States and/or Canada.
