Job description
Under the direction and supervision of the Department Supervisor and in cooperation with other team members, clean and prepare chassis and fixtures for painting, using air-powered sandblasting and other tools and equipment per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.
Perform paint prep duties using air-powered sandblasting equipment, grinder, needle-guns, and other powered and hand tools.

Removes weld spatter, over-poured refractory, excess weld, sharp edges, and burrs using a variety of tools including a wire wheel, air chisel, electric grinder, or file.
Mark all mis-welds and any other quality deviations found.
Disassemble paint and sandblasting equipment and clean equipment using proper solvents and manufacturer prescribed methods.
Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which may include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders
(Maintain level of work performance in accordance with Pratt standards and/or job specifications. The ability to satisfactorily work alone, and willingness to work with others respectfully and professionally in a team environment, with reasonable instructions, training, and supervision.
The ability to accomplish a task with concern for all the areas involved, including the ability to notice inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility.
High School diploma or GED required.
Relevant and recent working experience in an industrial paint environment preferred.
