We are seeking an energetic, skilled Sanitation Technician in our Penn Yan, NY location. We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime. Main Functions: Sanitation is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the facility, surrounding area and equipment. Related duties as required are duties that may not be specifically listed in the position description, but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s classification of work.Employment Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.1 year of Experience in the Manufacturing IndustryWork environment: Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet as work typically includes prolonged standing and walking in a fast-paced environment. Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching and kneeling. Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 10-20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of greater than 50 pounds. May be exposed to various allergens. Work takes place indoors near hot equipment and requires the safe and proper handling of cleaning equipment and supplies, including chemicals and hand tool. This position requires working at elevated heights and using motorized equipment such as a pallet jack, forklift, or scissors lift (training will be provided).
