Job description
Sanitation LeadThe Sanitation Lead directs daily cleaning operations, manages sanitation crews, and ensures compliance with food safety laws to prevent contamination.Sanitation Lead Responsibilities:Enforce and ensure compliance with established food safety, sanitation, and hygiene policies and procedures.Inspect manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with established sanitation, hygiene, and food safety standards.Manage and oversee cleaning and sanitation operations in the facility to ensure proper execution of sanitation activitiesMaintain the master sanitation scheduleTrain sanitation workers on an ongoing basis and document all training processes and procedures properlyMonitor the mixing and use of chemicals to prevent misuse and hazards to personnel and propertyCoordinate and execute cleaning or area cleaning with team of sanitation and maintenance.Keeps detailed records of all sanitation-related activities and issues, such as inspections and violations, also noting how and when each situation was resolvedConduct comprehensive evaluations of sanitation processes and practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to the Quality Supervisor regarding necessary enhancements or modifications.Maintain audit readiness and ensure sanitation practices meet established SQF and customer requirements to support successful audit outcomes and passing scores.Other duties as assignedPerformance Measures and OutcomesAdherence to safety policies and proceduresQuality of workEnforce Good Manufacturing PracticesEnforce Sanitation Standard Operating ProceduresEducationHigh School diploma or equivalentWork ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of related experience or training in warehouse or production sanitationAdditional Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesSafety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe mannerAbility to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the businessAbility to work on a rotating shift as neededAbility to effectively work in teamsAbility to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and peopleAbility to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of rolesAbility to lead / supervise groups of associatesUnderstand quality standards, methods and reporting as requiredGood communicator, team player and multi-tasking skillsPlan in advance for upcoming tasks in your areaInterpret instructions both oral and writtenProduce at a high level through your staffWork with plant management for required resultsProcess information and merchandise through computer systemProlonged standing, walking, bending climbing ladders, and lifting up to 30-50 poundsMenasha Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short- and Long-term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
