Days off and available shifts vary based on site needs at the time.Shift 1st: 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM 1st: 8:30 AM - 7:30 PM 2nd: 11:30 AM - 10:30 PMThe Sanitation Lead is responsible for providing oversight of the sanitation team for their specific shift for the cleaning and sanitizing of food assembly and storage areas and non-food handling areas (i.e. break rooms, locker rooms).Detailed ResponsibilitiesExecutes Sanitation PlanResponsible for assigning tasks to Sanitation & Janitorial team to complete required tasksVerifies equipment and/or chemicals are being used appropriatelyObserves for unsanitary practices and conditions to make necessary improvementsMonitors sanitation team for usage of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Supports Core Sanitation ActivitiesDemonstrates mastery of all core Sanitation & Janitorial Associate responsibilitiesResponsible for accurately documenting master sanitation activity completion for their shift in the appropriate applicationTraining, Retraining, and Coaching Sanitation/Janitorial AssociatesServes as point of contact for all Home Chef Sanitation Tools & Applications, trains Sanitation & Janitorial Associates on access and usageDelivers training, retraining and coaching in real time to Sanitation & Janitorial Associates to correctly perform their job as necessary, including safety policiesIssue EscalationPromptly notifies Sanitation Supervisor, Sanitation Superintendent and/or FSQA Leadership when sanitation issues ariseMaintain working knowledge of chemical inventory levels, escalating to Sanitation Supervisor or Sanitation Superintendent when inventory levels are lowGeneral ResponsibilitiesFollow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facilitySupport the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programsFollow all company policies and procedures including but not limited to related to safe chemical handling and lock out, tag out (LOTO)Attitude and AttendanceArrives to work at scheduled time and follows time off request procedureCommunicates with co-workers in a professional mannerTreats co-workers with respect at all timesEscalates attitude issues among Sanitation & Janitorial Associates to Supervisor and/or Sanitation SuperintendentThis position requires 0% travelQualificationsGeneral high school degree, or equivalent, (e.g. GED).Fluency (reading and writing) in English is required, fluent in Spanish is preferred2+ years of experience working in the food, safety or sanitation industryDemonstrated informal leadership in previous positionsDemonstrated ability to read a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), preferredExperience with sanitation of automated equipment, preferredPrevious experience with GFSI, SQF, FDA, and USDA audits, preferredMore About UsPerks and benefitsCandidates can experience Home Chef as a customer - enter promo code PEOPLE30 for $30 off your first order!Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance availablePaid holidays, sick time and vacation time401k programFlexible spending accounts for qualified medical, dependent care, parking, or transit expensesHow We Work TogetherWe are humble team players. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end.
