Sanitation Line LeadThe Sanitation Line Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding the daily sanitation operations and team members across both facilities. This role ensures that all cleaning and sanitation activities are performed efficiently, safely, and in strict adherence to company standards, regulatory requirements, and sanitation schedules, contributing directly to product quality and food safety.Starting Pay: $ 24.87/hourLocated in Green Bay, Wisconsin just minutes from the Fox River and home to the Green Bay Packers and historic Lambeau Field. More information on scheduling will be provided during the interview processPlant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a weekKey AccountabilitiesLead and develop a team of Sanitation Technicians, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.Manage and maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) for both facilities, assigning daily and weekly cleaning tasks and optimizing resource allocation.Ensure strict compliance with all company safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.Conduct and document team training on sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and equipment operation.Oversee chemical management, including daily concentration verification, maintenance of dispensing systems, and inventory control.Perform regular audits of sanitation tasks, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with other departments (Production, Quality, Maintenance) to resolve sanitation-related issues and support overall operational goals.Ensure proper labeling and signage for all chemical containers and maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Operate sanitation and material handling equipment as needed, and ensure proper and safe operation by the teamProvide coaching and feedback for team membersFoster a positive and safe work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvementPerform other duties as assigned to support overall facility cleanliness and operational goalsConsistently ensures a spotless, compliant, and audit-ready production environment through effective team leadershipProactively identifies and resolves sanitation challenges, implementing sustainable solutionsDevelops and mentors a high-performing sanitation team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvementEffectively manages resources, schedules, and inventory to optimize sanitation efficiency and cost-effectivenessMaintains meticulous records and documentation, ensuring audit readiness and complianceIs a trusted leader who upholds all safety and quality standards, inspiring the team to do the sameDrives continuous improvement initiatives within the sanitation departmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBilingual in English and Spanish requiredMinimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacityDemonstrated experience with chemical handling, titration, and safety protocolsProficiency in reading, understanding, and implementing Master Sanitation Schedules and Standard Operating ProceduresAbility to work with allergens, chemicals, noise, dust, wet conditions, and varying temperatures (hot/cold)Comfortable working around industrial high-speed moving machineryStrict adherence to all grooming and hygiene requirements for a food manufacturing environment (e.g., GMPs)Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as business needs dictateForklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)Preferred QualificationsManufacturing or production experienceEligibilityApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
